The Buddha Mega Menu is becoming more and more popular among Shopify businesses, and while we’re not 100% sold on it, we do get why we’re seeing loads of businesses using it – it does look pretty slick and is intuitive for users.
Anyway, back to Buddha Mega Menu. One of it’s more pervasive problems is its tendency to crash when you attempt to make a change to your theme code or publish a new theme, resulting in it reverting back to the theme’s default menu style. Fortunately, we’ve has found a way to work around this glitch in a way that’s pretty straightforward.
So, if you’ve got the Buddha Mega Menu on your eCommerce site, the next time you’re editing your website’s theme, just follow these five simple steps to stop the navigation from crashing.
How to stop the Buddha Mega Menu from crashing
Step one. Publish your theme/code update so it’s live.
Step two. Navigate to the apps section of Shopify and go into the Buddha Mega Menu Navigation app.
Step three. Once the app has loaded, click on the save button in the top right corner of the page.
Step four. Once that has saved, click on the Add & Design MEGA MENU ! button at the bottom of the page.
Step five. Finally, click save again in the top right corner.
And that’s it! Like we said, pretty simple. If this quick tutorial helped your navigate the Buddha Mega Menu, let us know on LinkedIn. And if you have any other questions about your Shopify site, you can always get in touch. We’re happy to help.
